This weekend has been very busy, not with campaigning but with meeting my new granddaughter who was born Saturday morning at 0730 hr.  She is absolutely stunning and we are all very thankful that she arrived safely.  Thank you to Doctors and staff at the Dawson Creek hospital who had to rush to meet this little one….she chose to arrive a little before expected.

I apologize for the quality of this picture but it is taken on a cell phone in the peaceful lighting of the  Dawson Creek maternity ward.

Seeing this new little life, I am reminded how important it is to have family as a priority in the  upcoming election.

We shall be Canadians first, foremost, and always, and our policies will be decided in Canada and not dictated by any other country.  John Diefenbaker

Thanks to all of you who expressed concern about my daughter who was in the car accident just before Christmas.  She is now less than one week away from her delivery date and all is well.  The baby is doing fine and is just about ready to meet the family.  The two grandchildren who were in the accident are also doing well.

Although December and January have been filled with challenges, there is one thing that will always make me smile.

Getting to spend time with my grandkids….

Happy New Year to all!
